What we do

Creating safe spaces, developing skills.

Our work is focused on children, families, older people and members of the wider community, helping people build confidence and become self-reliant.

After-school activities

Our After-school Programme gives children and young people aged 5–18 a safe, welcoming place to learn, develop and grow. Sessions combine learning support with creative activities, games and positive time together.

  • Homework support. Helping children stay engaged with learning and build confidence.
  • Creative activities. Giving children space to explore, make and express themselves.
  • Sports & games. Encouraging movement, teamwork and positive social interaction.
  • A safe, welcoming environment. A positive place for children to spend time, connect and grow.

Women & mothers

Mothers Hour: a space to connect, share and recharge.

Mothers Hour is a welcoming event for mothers to come together, take a moment for themselves and connect with other women in the community.

Through conversation, encouragement and shared experiences, we create a supportive space where mothers can feel heard, valued and connected.

Skills & business training

Confidence, built through skill.

Many of the people we work with have experienced isolation, domestic violence or family difficulty, and have lost confidence as a result. Our hands-on training helps them rebuild it, and for many, it leads to starting a small business of their own.

Baking

From Victoria sponge to Bakewell tart, African and Jamaican pastries. Trainees learn recipes, food safety and how to meet a client's brief.

Knitting & crocheting

Garments, blankets, jumpers and scarves. A craft that lowers stress, builds patience and produces something to be proud of.

Barbing & hairdressing

Cutting, colouring and barbering techniques, taught to a professional standard. A real route into work for young people.

Skills build confidence

Confidence builds futures.

We believe skills can transform lives. By creating opportunities to learn and grow, we help people build confidence, explore new possibilities and move towards a brighter future.

After finishing our training, many of our trainees go on to start small businesses of their own, turning a new skill into real independence.

Supporting the wider community

Practical help when people need it most.

When people are facing hardship, practical support can make an immediate difference. We work with our community to provide food, essential items and compassionate help that protects dignity and restores hope.

Food support

Helping individuals and families access food when circumstances make everyday essentials difficult to afford.

  • Food and meal support
  • Community-led giving

Essential items

Providing practical essentials and everyday support to people experiencing financial or personal hardship.

  • Essential household items
